At Mount of Olives we take The Great Commission and our Purpose Statement seriously. When Jesus said: "Go and make disciples of all nations..." we understand what our mission is in the world. Our Purpose Statement "To Know Christ and Make Him Known" helps us to define more specifically what the Lord is asking us to do. Our goal is to first know Christ Himself personally. Without a personal relationship with Him nothing else matters. We encourage this personal relationship through small group ministry and other Bible studies and ministries. In our small groups you will be able to find others of similar age and interest who will be on the same journey of "Knowing Christ". You will also find support in time of need. We believe that through our small groups you will be able to find lasting friendships that will strengthen you in your faith.
The other part of our Purpose Statement says that we are to "Make Him Known." To us as a church this means that we are always involved in outreach. Whether through special events or training of our members to share their faith and invite others to church we want everyone to know the love of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In addition, many of our members are discovering their spiritual gifts and are using them in significant ministries. Members have felt led to start their own Prison Ministries, Food Ministries and many others. Our Ministry Resource Team provides training and support for the many ministries that have started to bring Jesus Christ to a hurting world.
We believe that all living things grow. God wants our faith to be living and so we invite you to come grow with us. God has a plan and purpose for your life and we are here to help you discover it and live it out.
